Kumar Mangalam Sangakkara (born 27 October 1977) is a Sri Lankan cricketer and a former captain of the Sri Lanka national cricket team. He is a left-handed top-order batsman and the wicket-keeper in the One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 formats of the game. He captained the national team from 2009 to 2011, stepping down after the 2011 ICC World Cup final.
